Anita Yokota is a licensed family and marriage therapist turned interior designer. Growing up in a household of an architect and real estate broker, she naturally fell into real estate and design. Her background helps people transform their mindset and family dynamic at home through her innovative Anita Yokota Method®. Her holistic approach incorporates both aesthetic principles and the psychological implications of design to create thoughtful spaces that best serve both the individual and larger household unit. Since 2016, her relatable, positive energy and intuitive, distinctive eye for great design have attracted a passionate audience across Instagram, Pinterest, and her site AnitaYokota.com. Anita’s site was named the “Best New Design Blog of 2017” and HGTV chose her to lead design production for its 2019 Dream Home, as well as Hidden Potential. Real Simple recruited Anita to design its 2019 “Idea Home” and she’s been featured in MyDomaine, Glitter Guide, Lonny, and many other publications. Anita resides in Southern California with her three fun-loving daughters and husband, Travis. Anita’s highly anticipated design book, Home Therapy, will be out December 2022 though Penguin Random House.
